Stopped by Walgreens on my way home from work at 4 a.m......The store was empty and I was able to do several transactions with an easy-going cashier.....Here's what I did:
Transaction #1:
24 count Stayfree pads - $2.99
Plackers Mint Flossers - $2
Skintimate Shave Cream - $2.99 Total: $7.98 + $0.72 tax (9%) = $8.70 OOP, earned $8 in RR
Transaction #2:
Mane & Tail shampoo - $7.49
Mane & Tail conditioner - $7.49
24 count Stayfree pads - $2.99
Skintimate Shave Cream - $2.99 Total: $20.96 Minus $3 RR, $2 RR, $3 RR, $7.99 c (B1G1 Mane & Tail - in ad coupon)= $4.97 + 1.17 tax = $6.14 OOP
Transaction #3:
24 count Stayfree pads - $2.99
Skintimate shaving cream - $2.99
Plackers flossers - $2 Total: $8.70 OOP, earned $8 in RR
Transaction #4:
2 V05 shampoo @ $0.79 each
2 V05 conditioner @ $0.79 each Total: $3.44, used $3 RR = $0.44 OOP
Total spent: $23.98 for 14 items, still have $5 in RR to use
So, yes - I could have done better if I'd had coupons. This was a spur of the moment trip because we were out of feminine supplies at home (I realized while at work). I just grabbed the ad available in the store and improvised! We also needed shampoo/conditioner. The kids like the Mane & Tail since they all have long hair, they are big 32 oz bottles, so they last a long time. I'll use anything on my hair, and $0.79 for V05 is a good buy. I like to have some around as backups.
AND ...I was home by 4:30 - a quick trip!
